Would just say they really need to focus on staffing when they are that busy. If in the area and you love sushi I wouldn't hesitate to go. You can ordered as much as you would like just by placing the number of the specific item you want next to the description. They give you two menus one for apps (soup, salad, sashimi, teriyaki) and dessert. Be aware though we thought it was odd that soft drinks were not free refills. The food was very good, and my friend even ordered seconds. I am giving this review four stars because you cannot find a sushi place that is all you can eat and made fresh for your table. However there was a line out the door and every table filled. So there seems to be some disorganization of the menus we filled out. We also ordered apps and dessert that never came out. in our party even told the waitstaff who ignored him. The bathrooms were horribly dirty and one. However let me preface that by saying our group of 5 ordered about ten rolls. half the items we ordered were 'market price. However, the food items we tried were pretty amazing, and frankly, when the bill came, I was shocked how low it was, considering. The service was horrible and we waited over 45 min for our order. The food at Sushi Roku is inventive, eclectic, and playful, and if you're a sushi purist, it may not be your thing. To be fair we went on a busy Saturday night. For information purposes, the soft drinks do not include free refills, (not a problem for me, kids don't need so much soda). I owned a restaurant, thus I understand the tactics but would rather pay more and get full orders. They do include a few desserts with the AYCE. They don't charge enough to make money if someone just keeps eating sushi. The pieces are small and have a lot of rice, but that is to be expected in an All-You-Can-Eat sushi place. It's obvious that they want you to fill up on the cooked foods, and will send out incomplete orders of Sushi to slow down your consumption of Sushi. A second cooked order was made and everything came out. The third order which was small did come out complete. The second sushi order took about 20 minutes and again only 75% of our order came out. Other people had warned us about this but I had hoped that they were wrong. Everything we ordered on the cooked menu came out, but about 70% of our sushi order came out. There were 3 Sushi Chefs working the bar. The cooked food came out about 5 minutes later, the sushi in about 15 minutes. We filled them out and the waitress took. We were given 2 order forms (sushi, cooked foods). I took my 2 sons with me and we are true sushi lovers. The restaurant was pretty crowded and most people got the AYCE sushi and Japanese food. The grandchildren enjoyed several selections on the non-spicy tray and were very familiar with the restaurant’s menu! As for this set of grandparents, we were very impressed with how delicious the sushi was and the various kinds along with the quick service! And the green tea ice cream, along w/other flavors, was divine! The fried Oreo cookies did look odd to me but the grandkids grabbed 3 at a time as they had enjoyed them there before! I look forward to going back to this restaurant the next time we visit family & grandchildren in Ct! More One tray was more spicy than the other, just as we had ordered. Drinks were promptly served, order placed and in less time than we waited outside, we were eating yummy sushi! Two very large platters were placed on the table for all of us to select our favorite kinds of sushi. than 15 mins before we were inside & seated. This restaurant had a waiting line out the door when we six stopped by! And that’s a very good sign! With others ahead of us, we waited patiently for our name to be called, on benches in front of this restaurant.
